I came to Nicollet after graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine, U of M in 1981. I was raised on a farm in Trimont, MN, and grew up with pigs, dogs, and cats. I decided on a veterinary career after riding with my family’s veterinarian.

I am married to my husband Ken and have two daughters. Lindsey, also a veterinarian, specializes in dairy near Rochester and is married to a dairy farmer. Jessica works in finance and she and her husband have a 1-year-old, Hans.

Away from the clinic, I enjoy gardening and being outdoors, and for many years enjoyed teaching obedience and agility classes for the 4-H Dog Project. My cat Mickey is my favorite home companion.
