Even though I have a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in public administration, working with animals has been my dream since childhood. After getting a part-time job working at a cat cafe during grad school, my love for animals was reignited. I soon joined a veterinary clinic in Texas as support staff, and jumped at every chance I could to get hands on experience. After moving to Minnesota, I accepted a position at a local shelter and was fortunate enough to be a surgical assistant under the guidance of Dr. Jenny Mountin, one of the amazing veterinarians here at NVC. I am so excited to have joined the team at NVC and look forwarding to continuing my education in veterinary medicine!

I live in Mankato with my husband Tyler and our amazing rescue cats, Pierogi and Miso. Outside of work I love camping, working on home improvement projects, and reading a good book (with a cat in my lap, of course!).
